Hudson would be huge. We could do Reiff and Hudson

Go into the draft with depth and needing to find the replacements but at least have a stop gap while we do.

Love this. Fucking love it. I'd rather do this than sign Williams to be honest. But either way I'd be good with it. Your scenario frees up the draft for almost whatever we want.

Definitely the best OC out there, at this age the money could be reasonable as well. Also the dumbest cap relief of 2021 so far unless there's something wrong with Hudson healthwise.

looking at his career he is  Mr Reliable  maybe missing a game every 2-3 years

Definitely reliable and a top 5 OC ever since he entered the league. I have to agree with the notion that he might be a better signing than Williams at $20 million. Could get future LT in the draft and sign a decent stopgap with the money left from Hudson.

The Las Vegas Raiders continue to have a confusing narrative since Jon Gruden returned, and this time, their elite center asked to be shown the door.

One consistent bright spot of the Las Vegas Raiders over the years has been center Rodney Hudson, and on Tuesday, he asked to no longer be apart of the rebuild in Las Vegas. Hudson reportedly asked to be released by the Raiders, voiding his guaranteed money according to Mark Sanchez.

Las Vegas Raiders: Jon Gruden doesn’t gel with elite talent

The Las Vegas Raiders made a splash in the worst way on Tuesday, releasing their best offensive lineman in center Rodney Hudson. Not only is Hudson the best offensive lineman on this roster, but he is also widely considered the best center in the NFL, and this one was certainly a head-scratcher.

After word of his release began to circulate, it was found that Hudson actually asked to be released, ending an incredible run with the franchise. His release was a shock, but when it comes to elite talent, Jon Gruden and those upper-level players have never gelled since he returned to the franchise.

Since Gruden has returned to the Raiders, he has made a history of elite players finding their way out of the franchise. From trading away Khalil Mack before the 2018 season to doing the same to Amari Cooper during the year, Gruden seems allergic to keeping talented players around him.

While Cooper is not on Mack’s level, he was one of the best players on the team, and Gruden found a way to get him out of the Silver and Black.

Raiders continue to move on from elite players

In his first run with the team, Gruden seemingly attracted the elite players, getting great play from future Hall of Famers in Tim Brown, Jerry Rice, and Charles Woodson. Since 2018, even holdover players have wanted out, as Mack reportedly would not play for Gruden, and now Hudson has asked to be released.

When Gruden returned, he said players were ‘dying to play for the Raiders,’ and maybe that just is not the case. They have

We will know soon what the reason was for Hudson to asked to be shown the door, as if he retires, it was because he felt he was done, and if he moves on to play somewhere else, it was the franchise that made him want to leave. Still, releasing Hudson is a huge loss for the Silver and Black, and unless Gruden can pull off a miracle, Derek Carr will be running for his life next season.

Yep.  Take the best EDGE or WR/TE in round one.  Draft Walker Little or Spencer Brown on day 2 to groom at LT.  Then someone like Drake Jackson, who is perfect for our system, on day 3.

Yep, get the BPA in a position of need regardless of the urgency. Could even get an extra second day pick since teams will know we would be open to shopping that pick. Draft would be a breeze with the Hudson & Reiff duo.

Titans released CB Adoree' Jackson.

Jackson had been set to play under his fifth-year team option. Those options are guaranteed for injury only, so Jackson's entire $10.2 million salary comes off the books. The No. 18 overall pick of the 2017 Draft, Jackson had the looks of one of the best young corners in football, but injuries have limited him to 14 appearances over the past two seasons, including only three in 2020. It was a foot in 2019 then his knee last year. Explosively fast and athletic, Jackson is still only 26 years old (in September). There figures to be teams lining up to give him a second chance. It's possible the slot could be a bigger part of 5-foot-11 Jackson's NFL future than it was his first four years in the league.

Looking at how all CBs seem to overachieve in KC he could want to play for a cheap 1-year deal and I'm not sure if there's anything more for him in FA. A couple years could even be likely to prepare himself for a decent payday.

Could allow KC to keep Sneed outside.

Gruden is a gift for the rest of the AFC West :D

one of three things happened:

Gruden was Gruden which is enough for some guys (my way or the highway)

They probably told Hudson to take a pay cut, and he said FO

or he finally realized he is NEVER going to get to the Super Bowl as a Raider

Come Back Home Rodney and get a Ring before you call it a career!

OK stay with me here.... haha

Chiefs had interest in Adrian Peterson when he was cut by Washington last season but with COVID protocols and the timing it just did not happen.

Another interesting fact is that AP and Trent Williams are best friends and even own a Gym together!  Both from Texas and both went to Oklahoma!  VERY close!

We also are seeing reports that the 49ers have a 4 year @ $80M offer on the table for Trent.  What if Veach has that same offer?  What if Veach could only offer $18?

Cutting Damien gains KC about another $2M BUT now they are in need of a vet RB as CEH WILL be the workhorse!  There was interest and it would make sense for a limited role VET MIN contract to Adrian Peterson!  This would take care of that role PLUS give Veach another million or so to throw at Trent Williams PLUS Veach is also signing his best friend and business partner to a contract!

YES I know I Know BUUUUT can't you see Veach pulling something like this IF he really wanted Williams?

Flame Away my friends, Its that time of year!  :)
