How much does Hudson have left in the tank?  Didn't pay close attention to his play when the Chiefs played the Raiders.

Given up 3 sacks since 2015?  I believe? He has 3 more good years at least.

Continue to hear the Trent Williams market is super strong. 49ers, Chiefs, Colts and Bears all in the mix. 49ers will be hard to beat but some GMs believe this could approach $23M/year

No way the Chiefs should touch him at that price.  Even with the cap rise next year, it would be locking them into too many high priced, long term contracts.  If he got hurt of didn't work out for some other reason, the thoughts of a dynasty could fly out the window.

Exactly see Frank Clark.

Frank Clark - $25.8 million

Frank Clark has given the Chiefs 14 sacks in two years since signing a five-year $104 million contract in 2019. While Clark has been a productive player for the Chiefs’ defense, sharing a room with Donald as the only non-quarterback on this list is tough standard to live up to, and Clark hasn’t it.

Clark signed his current contract after a career year for the Seattle Seahawks in which he totaled 13 sacks and two forced fumbles. The Chiefs haven’t quite gotten what they paid for. Fortunately for Clark, Mahomes, who’s cap hit is just one third of Clark’s this year, has helped the 27-year-old pass rusher polish his resume with two Super Bowl appearances in Kansas City.

Have to agree, bidding wars always bite you in the ass. With Mahomes mobility we don't need a Willie Roaf version 2. I think Riley Reif would be sufficient next to Thuney for the next couple years and allow us to draft BPA.

Mahomes is involved in this Williams sweepstakes. If chiefs get him more than likely mahomes offers up $.

Did see that Mahomes started following him on social media

We shouldn't be in the race if the figures are around $23M. No need to go to a bidding war at this point, just focus on the next best guy as a stopgap. Williams may be a great LT but he's 33 and shouldn't warrant as much money.

I just hope Hudson doesn't slip through while we are trying to overpay Williams.

If true that sucks errrr

On to Hudson maybe

Not sure if it sucks. $22 million is too much for a 33-year old guy. With Thuney in town we could do with a guy like Reiff at LT until a draft pick is ready to take over. Hudson is a no brainer IMO, hopefully they take care of him tomorrow, a solid presence in the middle will upgrade the entire OL.

Chiefs extended a second-round tender to restricted free agent WR Byron Pringle.

Pringle, who saw some run in the KC offense last season before ending the year on injured reserve with an ankle, injury, will probably stay put in 2021. Pringle is only fantasy relevant when KC runs into wide receiver injuries.

So they finally see the potential in Pringle. I'm pretty sure he'll start the season ahead of Hardman on the depth chart but not sure if we bring in another WR as #2.
