Radunz.  He can be a starter at 5 positions.  4 if you think his arms are too short at LT.  Need a center?  No problem.  If Brown's gone and I don't like the other options in that tier get a pass rusher.  May want to do that anyway.  There will be some pass catchers later.

Personally I think veach will trade back up into the 3rd or earlier into the 4th.

Fair enough.  Which pass catchers later?  It's a long way from 63 to 144 if the Chiefs don't grab on in the second round.

Brown and Quinn fill the last two holes we have on O.

Dayo was injured late or would probably be a 2nd round pick.  Should be ready to go by the end of the year.

Sherwood is Sorensen's replacement.

Darden is Hill injury insurance and another speedy threat.

Thompson is a camp body for the secondary.

Isn't Schwartz strictly a slot receiver?  Fehoko or Terry seem to fit the need more IMHO.

Didn't Veach say they weren't impressed with this years wr's in the middle to late rounds?  Maybe I am misremembering.

In the beginning he just needs slot or manufactured releases.  Fehoko and Terry both won't provide as much as he does til they learn to run routes, though I do like both guys

He does fit one need that you can't have too much of:

I think he said the later rounds are thin.  Which is true.  Don't remember him specifically singling out receivers, but in general a lot of guys went back to school.  About a third of the normal number of players signed with agents this year.

Yeah he said the entire draft drops off after rd 3. Hope he can find another gem in the 4th or 5th.

Found the full quote from the Veach presser:

“As far as the wideout position, we’re certainly excited having Tyreek (Hill), Mecole (Hardman), getting D-Rob (Demarcus Robinson) back for us was big and we’re certainly extremely high on Byron Pringle. I think we all believe in him and the progress and the work that he’s put in, we are certainly hopeful for him. We have Antonio Callaway coming in, we’re excited about him and it’s just Zoom now. We’d like to get these guys in and get your hands on him and hopefully by the end of training camp we will, but we’re certainly excited about his athletic skill set and what he can do and I think from there I think there’s a number of different scenarios that could play out in the draft. Pete (Sweeney) talked about pockets earlier, and I think there’s a mid-round pocket that we’re excited about, so I don’t think that we will be in any rush to do anything at the free agency market because of where we are. We like the four or five guys that we have on a roster. That in combination with what we think will be available during the middle rounds of the draft, I think would be something that we’ll put our priority in.

So if they hypothetically went DE and C in rd 2...what type of receiver will be there at the end of 4?

I assume it's safe at this point to say they are looking for someone who creates mismatches with size, and a redzone target. With Calloway, Hardman, and Hill we have a rrio as fast as any in the league.

You think a guy like Fehoko could be there? Would Tamorrion Terry interest them at the end of 4? Grimes?

Like this one a lot.  First four picks are where I'm at unless a LB fit is there.

Nice.  I can't believe Moore would be there that late but nice.  First 3 are hits and there's some potential after that.  Bailey Moore is an interesting prospect but medicals will have to check out.

I would move Hainsey inside.  I think he might struggle outside.  Give him some time to build strength.  Nice value there though with him and Fehoko.

Fehoko maybe.  Hard to pin down where he'll go.  Terry should be there.  He's an interesting case.  Really tested well but man does he need a lot of work on his technique.  Maybe he can be a red zone specialist while he works on his game.  Typical high ceiling low floor Florida State guy.  Their coaching staff has sucked the last few years and guys aren't developing.  Maybe Norvell can get them turned around.

Had read a few "experts" think he would transition well to C, so he coyote he our development guy there with the ability to be a swing T in a pinch.

Would be nice to find a decent WR in FA.

No WR?  That's the main immediate need to replace Sammy unless you like Robinson more than most of us do.  Don't see Davis dropping to 144 but if he does, he'd be a steal there.   Also can't see the Chiefs going OL with both second day picks after spending a fortune there in FA.  If they draft an OT with their first pick, it probably means that they don't think they can sign Brown long term.

Most of the draft has been picking guys that fell. Never had any value at WR for some reason this time around. I think Niang could be the RGOTF if someone like Little is picked up this year. I don't expect Little to start right away but didn't mind picking him up when he was available.

I was surprised with Davis' availability but for some reason he seems to fall in these simulations. Not sure if I would wait for him on the draft day though, would probably try to trade up.

Gotta be honest don't like this draft at all.   Molden is a luxury and Robinson is a huge reach imo.   Getting a slot/hybrid safety and a developmental raw DE in the 2nd would be disheartening to me personally.

Disagree.  A lot.

Molden allows Sneed to stay outside.  Ward is probably gone after 2021 (UFA).  We don’t know what we have in Baker.  I thought he was over drafted and was pretty surprised when NYG traded up for him.  And, he is an RFA in 2022.  Keyes is still raw as hell, and Fenton is depth.  If we still had a 3rd (in this scenario we do), I would go after Robert Rochell, who I really like, but barring a trade down, he is out of reach at 144.  In this sim Molden was the best option at 63, so no need for Rochell later.

I also think you are way off on Robinson.  He would be a slight reach at 63, but is good value mid to late 3.

The trade down in this sim also allows an extra pick for Kendrick Green, who I think would be a good fit in our offense.  Needs a year of seasoning.  I don’t see him lasting until 144 either.

Wiggins would contribute early and Evans could be a real steal.  The Illinois receiver is a good developmental X.

I will agree to disagree.  I would be pleased with this draft.  Would like to have got a WR at 63, but in this sim they were gone.  And this won’t be my final guess for how it goes this weekend.  It was just one sim.
