He’s a FA and I think he is important to our d line. Now with Reed on board I’m not so sure but for the dollars and return on investment I’d like to see him back.

Jones, Reed, Nnadi, Wharton, Saunders.  No place for Pennel, especially if the Chiefs draft a future D-line guy.  Pennel played well two years ago, not so much last season.

To me I felt his play fell off compared to the previous year.

Yep, you got to see what you have in Saunders with Nnadi's contract up after this year.  I agree no place for Pennel.

In terms of bodies on the roster I think we are set at DT but if the staff thinks someone is worthless I don't mind bringing Pennel back for cheap. However I don't see it as a critical move especially after the drop-off in 2020 after a very successful 2019.

I was the biggest supporter of pennel on this board 2 years ago, pounding the table for him to play. Even i admit that last year he was a shell of himself and a liability on the field. Time to move on
