jetlord 10,209
There's only one TE in the draft that can replace Kelce and he'll go in the top six. Any TE taken in this draft is probably a wasted pick unless, as Xen stated, Tremble drops to the late fourth. Expect to see the Chiefs pick up a TE UDFA for competition but no potential contributor for this season.

xen 1,010,220
At this point we just really need to draft for the playoffs. That's why WR and DE are the 2 biggies to me. I just hope we can find some good picks at those positions. TE would also be up there but I don't think the value will fall to us like WR. xen 1,010,220
Rather like this one. Doesn't cover everything we need but doubles up on 2 thin positions with good value. Traded back from the Ravens 2nd rounder twice (no WR value there, missed on Tryon as well). Picked up the NYG 3rd next year in the process. I'm ignoring Bolton's shitty pro day. He's not an underwear athlete but he is a gamer who is athletic enough for the middle and will bring some needed toughness. He'll put a hurtin on dudes. He might be too expensive to extend but a decent contract with the trade could make sense assuming the cap is really going up as much as expected. Are you saying you don't believe any of them are good enough to get onto the field in passing situations?

Yes, there's none beyond pick #58 that would project as a starter for the Chiefs unless Kelce went down. A pass catching TE that could also block would help the team, but not at the cost of a second round pick. Tremble and Blevin might be worth a late third or fourth but I'd be disappointed if the Chiefs took one of them in the second.
Thegoatee 1,780
Drafting a real ILB early would be nice. Edge rush as a late round prospect. I think WR and TE in the mid rounds. C early, RT late. We seem to find serviceable to good DBs in the later rounds. I wouldn’t put it past them to draft a RB late.

I wouldn't mind on day 3 taking a stab.

I don't want Nick Bolton at all but Anthony Schwartz is a great guy to replace Hill if he gets injured....not to say he can replace his production but his speed and quickness can stretch defenses. I really hope Dayo slides because he is a round 2 talent for sure if not for that injury late last year. That also gives us two potential DEs in case Frank Clark can't get back on track. Agree about day three, just don't see anyone worth a top 63 pick for the Chiefs. Right now, I'd not be surprised to see the Chiefs wait for an UDFA for competition. This isn't a good year for TEs. A lot of things have to fall into place such as having the talent but more importantly, rapport with Mahomes. TG was worth a first round pick. Maybe Gronk. Pitts is projected on the same level.. If he gets drafted by a team with poor QB play or coaching that doesn't use him properly, , it will be a waste. sith13 and Handswarmer 1

xen 1,010,220
Tommy Tremble reminds me a lot of Kittle. Great blocker with receiving skills who was criminally underused as a receiver in college. oldtimer

Dan4pres 125
The Chiefs need to start scouring the college basketball tapes and pick up an athletic power forward to mold. Personally, I'm interested to see how Fortson pans out there. He may end up being our other receiving TE.
