Day Three Draft

So how far up in the fourth could the Chiefs move up using one of the fifths?   Veach showed unusual patience waiting for the draft to come to him last night and got two early second values for it.

He said the sweet spot was in the middle so maybe he sits back and waits.  We do need depth.  I just think a couple of those guys could be immediate help for us.  Jamar Johnson or Hamsah N. could spell and eventually replace Sorensen.  Jabril Cox could replace Ben Niemann.   Brevin Jordan > Nick Keizer.   Tylan Wallace could be a perfect developmental guy.

Probably both 5ths or next year's 4th.   I'd rather off next years 4th if it got us Ben's replacement or Brevin Jordan.   Keep the two 5ths for developmental players and depth.

Just checked the trade value chart and pick #144 and #175 could move the Chiefs up to around #120.  Wouldn't be surprised if Veach went for that IF their target is there.  BTW" St. Brown is gone.  So is Dalman so it's good that the Chiefs got their OC in the second.

Rumph good pick for Chargers.

Chris Rumph II EDGE, DUKE

Height: 6-4, Weight: 235

Son of a long-time NFL position coach. Pass-rushing toolbox of anyone EDGE in this class. Bendy too. But smaller, and skinny. If he can add weight/strength, this is a great valu

Jabril Cox just went to the Cowboys too lol.   Oh well.  He slid this far not like we are the only ones with reservations.

Tylan Wallace and Brevin Jordan still out there.   Maybe best to hold tight and get three guys with our picks.  Lord knows we need depth.   Trey Smith still there too.   I know we are loaded on the Oline but I wouldn't mind upgrading RG considering both LDT and Long will be gone next year if the value is good.

Wouldn't mind this approach either, seems like later round OL have more staying power in the NFL then skill players, outside of RB. But, Veach seems to have a gift in these rounds so looking forward to the picks.

Trey Smith may keep dropping due to the heart issues when he was younger.  No issues for 2 years but that can scare teams.  Might be great value

Do you like him better than David Moore to replace LDT/Long?

I mean we have a ton of guards on the team now but he was a round 1-2 talent for a long time.   As far as I'm concerned draft him.   This Oline should never be a problem for the next 4-5 years.  If it takes the focus of this entire offseason so be it.   A great Oline opens up more than just Mahomes having time it opens up running lanes which is something we haven't seen since the early 2000's.

Was this the KC pick to Balt?

Tylan Wallace WR, OKLAST

Height: 6-0, Weight: 190

Plays faster than his timed speed and is a ball-tracking specialist. Ravens smartly address receiver again for Lamar Jackson. Just needs to play through contact better. (Chris Trapasso)

I do.  I only really like Moore at C and we got that covered.   Deonte Brown is another mammoth guard to play on the right side.

No it was 136 that we traded.   Still would have liked Tylan.   But if KC wanted him they could have easily traded up to grab him.  Veach apparently told the truth they didn't like the wr class in this range much.

Smith is a better overall prospect but only if they're ok with the medicals.  Dude is a people mover.

I would say Moore fits our scheme better as he's a better mover.

Andy appears to be done experimenting with lesser athletes on the inside so Moore may be the better pick.

Smith had an RAS score of 9.97 like top 10 since 1987.   Moore was 1.0.

I dont' think Moore is the better mover at 6'1 350.
