Veteran safety Will Parks is heading to Kansas City.

Parks has agreed to a one-year, $1.13 million deal with the Chiefs, Adam Schefter of ESPN reports.

The 26-year-old Parks spent time with both the Broncos and Eagles last season. He originally entered the NFL as a 2016 sixth-round pick of the Broncos.

The Chiefs didn’t make any additions to their secondary in the draft, so it’s not surprising the secondary is an area they decided to address this week. Parks won’t be a starter in Kansas City, but he will compete for a roster spot and add some veteran depth and contribute on special teams.

This guy is simply NOT GOOD

His 2018 numbers were pretty decent.  You are right about last year.  One thing I have a lot of confidence in is our secondary coaching staff.  If there is potential there those guys can get it out of them.   I'm all for churning the bottom.  Watts had his chances and its time to move on.

Shouldn't be hard to take Watt's spot.

Parks is more of a Sorenson big nickel type of safety & dime LB, so he won't be competing with Watts.  More like a Sorenson backup.  He actually was pretty good in that role, but Denver has shifted away from that.  Good special teams player as well.  This is actually a good depth signing with a specific role on the team.

That’s good to hear. Sounds like a pretty fit.
