Looks like fountain made it too!  Says these are the final cuts to get to 53.

Those listed are some of the first cuts.  Last i checked it was down to 64.

this is where I got it, thought it looked like a small list, but it does say "final".  So i could be a moron, we will never know the truth about that!

So looking at it again. It does say roster at 64.  Guess we'll know the rest in what?  30 minutes?

No real shocks there.  Thought Kemp and Wanogho might make it.  Pretty uninspiring list.  I can see Gore and Thompson being snatched up though.  The rest, meh.

I am very surprised Kemp didn't make it. It was his best camp. I guess that tells us a little about what they think of Fountain.

A little surprised about Prince. He looked like he had some promise against the scrubs at LT.

Powell was not a surprise, but I love to see a staff keep the best 53 regardless of the draft.

JOHN BROWNWR, UNSIGNED FREE AGENT
John_Brown.jpg

Raiders released WR John Brown.

Brown supposedly "requested" his release, but this move had been telegraphed for several days now. It did not seem implausible that Brown would emerge as the Raiders' de facto No. 1 receiver upon his signing in March, but instead coach Jon Gruden seemed to think Brown didn't have any legs left. He will undoubtedly get another opportunity elsewhere as a field stretcher.

Has had some excellent seasons. Worth a look?

KEKE COUTEEWR, UNSIGNED FREE AGENT
Keke Coutee

Texans waived WR Keke Coutee.

With one of the NFL's worst receiver groups, the Texans curiously parted ways with Coutee, an electric slot wideout when healthy. Coutee averaged 72 receiving yards per game over Houston's final five games with Will Fuller on suspension. He ended the season with a 90-yard performance against the Titans. Coutee seemed like a lock to make the team's 53-man roster after Houston parted with slot WR Randall Cobb last month. He's going to be hotly pursued by other, more competent NFL teams.

Surprise cuts?.....definitely Kemp, Ward and Prince. Lammons making the 53 was a surprise. I know Chiefs have a lot of hope many of these players will sneak through to the practice squad.

Very happy Fountain and Fortson made the cut. Chiefs are a much stronger 53 going into this season than last.

We talk a lot about the transformation of the oline but that wasn't the only offensive position group with a complete overhaul.

2020

Kelce

Nick Keizer

Deon Yelder

Ricky Seals-Jones

Last 3 couldn't block or catch

2021

Kelce

Belldozer

Noah Gray

Jody Fortson

All 4 can block and catch.  Last 2 can move similar to Kelce.  Belldozer an excellent inline blocker.  Total cost besides contracts:  one 5th round pick.

More proof that Veach is a goddamn Sorcerer.

I think we are looking at the red zone offense.  4 tight ends and a huge line.  The tight ends will be running around in completely unpredictable patterns, and Mahomes will get it to one of them.  Defenses will be dazed and disheartened. Every so often, it will be a decoy and either Mahomes will keep it or shovel it to Burton.
