reesebobby 5,662
I am officially making Travis Kelce my all time favorite Chiefs tight end. Sorry Gonzo. The dude is absolutely money every game. And I like his attitude.
Spfdchiefsfan 621
Gonzo lost my respect a long time ago when he said ATL made his career. He can suck balls for all I care!

It's weird because when you watch the replay it just looks like he just runs 10 yards and turns around and catches the ball. And nobody seems to be able to stop it. artsy

KC Warpaint 3,234
wonder how fans would felt about gonzo if we had actually played in or won a SB in his time in KC, of course then he would not have had to been traded and all the Atlanta crap would have never happened. oldtimer
qnet 1,150
It would have been interesting to see how Gonzo would have done with Mahomes, but that will never happen. Kelce is more athletic IMO, and he's not a bad blocker.
DieHard 2,061
Hard to knock Gonzo. If I remember right he had a string of bad coaches and QBs. Then they brought in Haley. At least I think that was when it happened. Calichief, oldtimer, KC Warpaint and 1 other 1 1 1
Burpo The Mad Clown 5,555
Yeah, that’s a tough one for me. The Atl thing brought him down a notch for me, but he’s still freaking Gonzo. But, Kelce is doing things we’ve never seen a TE do. He just keeps getting better. It would be cool to see Gonzo in this offense. It would be cooler to see Jason Dunn. jetlord 10,209
Compare the QBs TG played with to Kelce. Assuming Mahomes could have had the same rapport with TG, he would have put up monster numbers. Not taking away from Kelce, but he's had better balls thrown his way. He doesn't have freakish athleticism and explosiveness. He's above average in these areas, but not jump off the charts stuff. It's his routes. No one can cover this fucking guy. He gets open on every damn play. His route running is insane.

reesebobby 5,662
You really get a feel for how much the game has changed when you look at Montana and Aikman's stats. If Pat had a season with Joe Montana stats we would be sad. Except for the wins.
Biggjliv4 1,292
Tough call, Gonzo was literally the only receiving threat for years minus Priest or Charles. Green was a solid QB, but not even close to Pat. I'd say he did more with less overall. Kelce has Pat plus Hill taking some of those double teams and nothing out of the backfield since Hunt. Smith isn't an all star but was solid. Tough call
