FA retained

OT Orlando Brown

DT Jarron Reed

DE Melvin Ingram-

CB Mike Hughes

 WR Byron Pringle

RB Darrel Williams

OT Andre Wylie

TE Blake Bell

DT Derrick Nnadi

LB DOD

S Armani Watts

CB Chris Lammons

TE Jody Fortson

RB Derrick Gore

LB Neimann- I don’t want him back, but the coaches with bring him back. Ugh

CUTS

 Clark

 Hitchens

 FA

Equinimious St Brown WR- young kid with talent. Has good size at 6’4”. Comes in and competes with Pringle, Powell, and Fountain

Lorenzo Carter DE- the giants have a bunch of ends. Carter would be a really nice pass rush specialist. And could develop into a full time starter still. Learning begins Ingram would be good for him

Trade

RB CEH- he just doesn’t fit the system very well. Getting a 5th rounder for him would be a wise move. Williams and Gore look like better fits in the system.

Draft

We have traded our 5, end 6 picks away. But have and extra 7th and now gain a 5th back in the trade

1. Jermaine Johnson DE FSU6’5” 260- big physical kid at the point of attack. Has good pass rush skills as he got 11 sacks this year. Has even more potential to unlock.

 2. Abraham Lucas OT WSU 6’7” 325- Big RT that is a really good pass protector. Has really improved at run blocking too. I like Niang but his injury history is too much to rely. He can be our swing Tackle

3. Jaylen Pitre S Baylor 6’1” 200- super athletic kid  will run in the 4.4s. Is physical to play by the LOS and athletic to play Deep.

4. Rachaad White RB ASU 6’1” 210- a smooth runner. Is very good as a pass catcher too. Can run between the table or outside. Has 4.4 speed

5. Akayleb Evans CB Missouri 6’2” 190- big long corner with 4.4 speed. Transferred from Tulsa. Reminds me some of Sneed

7. Cam Taylor-Britt S Nebraska 6’ 210-  played corner in college but will translate to safety nicely. Physical kid with good coverage skills.

7. Deontay Anderson LB Houston 6’2” 225- was a safety until last year. Athletic SLB with good length, speed, and coverage skills. Can play over TEs to cover as a SLB.

Roster

 QB- Mahomes, Buchelle

RB- Williams, White (R), Gore

WR- Hill, Powell

WR- Pringle, St Brown

WR- Hardman, Fountain

TE- Kelce, Gray, Fortson, Bell

LT- Brown, PTW

LG- Thuney, Allegretti

 C- Humphrey, Allegretti

RG- Smith, Wylie

RT- Abraham(R), Niang

DE- Ingram, Carter, Herring

DE- Johnson(R), Kaindoh, Danna

DT- Jones, Wharton

DT- Reed, Nnadi, Saunders

SLB- Harris, Anderson(R)

MLB- Bolton, Neimann

  • The title was changed to Mocking the off-season

St Brown isn't a player I think a perennial SB contender will look at when they are truly trying to address WR2. This is still a pedestrian WR corps.

Make rd 2 a WR and address RT ( essentially flip them) with a vet FA and I like it a lot.

The additions at DE are the exact 2 players Ive been mocking to us in FA and the draft when I do my mock offseason 37 times a day in my head.

I actually think Pringle has good growth this year. I’m not sweating the 2nd WR nearly as much. I also think we will see a big jump from Powell.
my hope with St Brown is the change in environment will be good for him. He has a ton of ability. At 6’4” and running a 4.4 he could be very good.
i think our passing game is fine. I think we need to be more dynamic in the run game though. Williams is a solid back but not a game changer. I’m hoping white comes in and does that especially with as good as he is in the pass game as a RB. We need someone to make teams pay for playing 2 high constantly.

another RB I was thinking about was Kevin Harris off South Carolina. He reminds me a ton of Hunt. I don’t know if he is as good as a pass catcher though. But he is built like a brick house at 5’10” 225. Has good speed. And has amazing contact balance (something hunt was a ++ with).

I like Pringle's progress as well but if Hill goes down Pringle is a stretch to be a #2.  You want a guy who is comfortably the #2 and maybe is a stretch to be the #1.  I love Pringle as our 3/4 WR.

I think we draft a guy like Metchie, Pickens, etc in the 2nd, and fill RT with a vet minimum vet, wylie and a 3-5 round pick.    I like the guys you have picked though.  Would help our back end and Johnson is a beast.   Only issue is will he be there at 32?

If we're going RB mid rounds (and personally I would not trade CEH) I like Badie from mizzou.  Explosive play waiting to happen.

I don't see CEH  as tradable but yea that MIZZOU kid was something special but 5'8' 200 ..is'nt that just pretty much CEH 2.0? His only good year was last year..color me Meh. I'd like to get an RB like the Packer's Dillon.

U can find big RBs easier than explosive ones.  Plus we already have what a big RB would provide in a few guys.

Badie only had one good year because he was behind another NFL quality back for two years.
