moons314 2,463
The list is misleading though. Yes, Jovan Belcher was as bad as it gets, and Frank Clark is a fucking moron thug, but if you go down the list, it's a lot of really petty shit. Larry Johnson arrested for spitting in a person's face. Vrabel accused of "stealing alcoholic beverages from a casino". Some DB I've never heard of arrested for possessing an open container at a parade in Tampa. The overwhelming majority of arrests were simple possession, bar fights, and DUI. Damon Arnette is attributed to the Chiefs, despite never having even attended a team practice or workout session. My favorite though was Lawrence Tynes. Can you imagine being the guy who got his nose broken by a kicker? If that dude was in my group of friends, he'd get ragged on until the end of time, got beat up by a kicker. If you simply state "arrests" it looks bad, but whoever wrote that obviously had an agenda, to paint the NFL in a certain light. There are 1500 plus players on active rosters in a given season in the NFL, not counting players on IR, practice squad etc. The amount of actual legal problems in the NFL are but a fraction of a percent of all the guys employed by the league, and honestly I really doubt there's much variance from the rate of legal issues in the league to that of the general population. Sure, Belcher, Vanover, Morris and a couple other were major black marks, but too many people try to paint this stuff as being overwhelmingly prevalent, when its simply not. oldtimer and qnet

I get your point, but what about Michael Richardson having an open container at the Gasparilla Parade? Do we really want guys like that on our roster? moons314

Thegoatee 1,780
You can bag on kickers, but some of those dudes kick most folks butt in this forum. Buttkicker could probably punch some guys out. Pat McAfee probably does a ton of damage. And a guy like Lin Elliot literally killed thousands of fans. SEMO, Fmbl2187 and oldtimer 1 1
