They just converted his salary to signing bonus though and added 3 more void years to spread it out, it wasn't a restructure on the bonuses they paid in February.  Patrick could do that but his salary this year is only 1.5 mil so not much gained by doing that.

Has he been paid his roster bonus? If it hasn't been paid, that's a pretty big number but, it's just kicking the can down the road.

The roster bonus was called a roster bonus but paid like a signing bonus.

AtoZ Sports: Entering 2022, Mahomes is set to cost $35,793,381 against the cap. He has a $27.4 million roster bonus that was guaranteed when he signed the deal back in 2020. The roster bonus is still liquid, though, and can be converted. Mahomes’ base salary is just $1.5 million, so there’s not much savings to be had, there.

The Chiefs can take the $27.4 million roster bonus, convert it to a signing bonus, and then spread the money over the remaining 10 years(!!) of his deal. Doing so will remove $24.66 million off the books and drop Mahomes’ cap hit to a little more than $11.1 million. So, approximately $24.6 million in cap room can be created off the restructure. And Mahomes still gets paid.

I couldn't find anything from the NFL. Saw something from Rappaport or Schefter (dated a year ago) saying it could happen anytime the Chiefs wanted.

Did you see it was paid for sure, or just the due date had passed and we assume it was paid?

I believe Mahomes can delay it. The Chiefs won't do anything without consulting him.

The more I read about this I’m only sure about one key thing. Where the hell was HB when Gabriel scored 4 freaking touchdowns during the Divisional game against Buffalo at Arrowhead? He was in that secondary. 
Chiefs should never have survived that game except for Mahomes/Kelce/Hill.
Defense was a detriment and HB might deserve some consternation as he didn’t pop that guys ass in the end zone even one time.
