But there may be one draft pick who could shine and make a lot of noise as a rookie. Running back Isiah Pacheco is a gifted running back who the Chiefs took in the seventh round out of Rutgers. Pacheco ran the fastest 40-time of any running back at the NFL Combine at 4.37 seconds alongside Patriots running back Pierre Strong Jr., who was drafted out of South Dakota State. Pacheco has great breakaway speed and possesses the ability to burst on the outside for big runs. Isiah Pacheco may have been a seventh-round draft pick and nearly went undrafted. But he will prove to be better if given the chance. NFL.com’s Lance Zierlein scouted Pacheco and said he has “rapid-fire feet” and described him as a running back who “plays the game like a race car with no brakes.” However, Pacheco’s numbers in college weren’t great as a senior. He averaged 3.9 yards per carry and caught just 13 passes for 25 yards. Those probably played a big factor as to why he was drafted in the seventh round and nearly went undrafted as he was taken with the 251st pick, the 12th-to-last pick in the draft............ azchief21

sith13 1,746
3.9 YPC as a senior, I wouldn't expect much from him in 2022. Definitely looks to have potential but could take a while before we see that on the field. Would love to be surprised with a breakout season in 2022 though. Troyofoc 361
Can’t find info on Rutgers oline last year but in 2020 according to pff they had the 5th worst run blocking as a line. For what that’s worth. oldtimer

Maybe he just needs to learn to run behind a line of maulers. sith13
xen 1,010,220
That Rutgers team was total ass. He does need to learn patience behind the line but... seriously, total ass. West
deltachief 4
I would like to see him run to the right behind Creed, Smith and Kinnard with an extra lineman playing tight end. Put are extra recievers on the left side and see what happens.

In this offense as a change of pace and a couple of screen passes, he could be deadly.
AFCWEST 1,238
I was unaware. This may explain some things. Speaking of Health… Just a few months ago, Edwards-Helaire appeared on the Arrowhead Addict podcast and broke the news that last offseason was a frustrating one for him since he was not healthy. When his gall bladder stopped working after the team’s second consecutive Super Bowl appearance, Edwards-Helaire says he got as low as 160 lbs. (That’s 45 lbs. for a player who is one of the lighter guys on the roster as it is.) That means that heading into his second season, instead of working out and improving on his game, he was simply trying to stay healthy and recover from a surgery that would eat his entire offseason. He’s never once been healthy coming into a year like this offseason, which means this is going to be the first offseason where Edwards-Helaire is coming in ready and able to build on something. sith13 1,746
Explains a lot. Normally the lack of a gallbladder means less alcohol and fatty foods for an otherwise normal life but curious about its implications for pro athletes. AFCWEST

I agree that it shouldn't have any noticeable effect on anyone after a time. The gallbladder just adds a big amount of bile into the small intestine to help digest foods after a large fatty meal. For awhile, people do best if they eat many smaller meals instead of gorge on a few big ones each day. Even that goes away after awhile. But with a pro athlete who has to eat big time on a regular schedule, I have no idea what that would mean. Its odd that a young man would get gallbladder disease at all and need to have it removed, so maybe there is more going on. It's not surprising he would lose so much weight with it, but he should be fine now. There is a reason it could happen in a young man, but unless you are really interested, I won't bore you with it. sith13 and AFCWEST
