That's why I don't like the garbage TD's in games. Had they held the Cards to 14, they would be there, although only after two games. Having said that, they have performed much better than last year after two games.

In the 1980s I read an article that purported that if a defense can hold the opponent to 17 points, any team is almost unstoppable.

I don’t remember the name of the publication but I remember the article was titled “Seventeen and You’re Mine.” It broke down a lot of stats and was aimed at gamblers betting on games.

I don't think most folks got the joke.  They are too young.  The song by Ringo Starr 50 years ago, "Sixteen, She's Beautiful, and She's Mine."  The big joke at the time was that he was singing about statutory rape, since he was in his twenties at least.
