kkuenn 3,600
Last year I defended CEH. I was disappointed to see him get injured again and I wanted to see if he could stay healthy and productive this year. Many hammered him for those fumbles, lack of speed, not being used for what they said he was good at as a pass catcher etc. I hope he continues to do well this year and does stay healthy. Here is an article so far about him thru 2 games. Still early but at least looking better since his rookie year. https://arrowheadaddict.com/2022/09/24/clyde-edwards-helaire-key-ingredient-chiefs-offensive-success/
Holmes4six! 972
I was critical of him. He is doing better. I’m not sure why, but we need to be better on 3rd and short even if defense knows it’s coming. We have to able to run it down peoples throats. CEH in my opinion does not give us that. Hunt did. hopefully Pacheco can.

CEH runs hard but gets took down easy. I'm a fan of CEH, but what I see is Reid not sticking with the run when he's in rhythm. AFCWEST

Lamardirts 2,114
Well.......his dancing run that lost 4-5 yards today was it for me. He isn't fast enough to exploit defenses to the edge or run around someone, he isn't big enough to push the pile, and he isn't shifty enough or frequent enough to make up for the previous two. He can be productive but when our 7th round pick has more upside it makes it tough. Ugly game by almost all involved today. I've defended the guy, but I can't really argue anymore with the fact he looks like a 3rd down back. Pacheco is the only RB we have that can hit the hole like he was shot out of a cannon. And this team needs that. Unfortunately our HC views the running game as a luxury, not a necessity so who knows how things will turn out.
qnet 1,150
I've yet to see the game, but haven't given up on CEH yet. He will probably never be as good as Hunt, but I still think he can be an asset to this team
Thegoatee 1,780
I could only see the few plays on Red Zone Channel. CEH sounds like he is inviting the Trent Richardson comparisons again. No vision.

Can't remember where I saw it but Mahomes is pointing to one of two huge holes on that play and CEH lost yardage. Jamaal Charles would be a legit MVP candidate on this O with those sized lanes. I don't have anything against CEH. He seems like a wonderful guy but a good rb should be feasting in this O.

CEH and Hardman are JAGS. I'm sure there are players that turn it on after three years in the L but both of these guys aren't sitting behind someone hidden in the shadows they have had more than enough run to get a clear picture of what they are. Its sad because I was pumped for both of them coming out but the proof is in the pudding. Would love to be wrong though. AFCWEST

Palangi 788
I think RoJo needs to be brought up. Then one of the third down backs, CEH or McKinnon can be inactive. Let RoJo and Pacheco man the RB spot. Both these guys will hit the hole hard. Lamardirts

But instead we got minus 4 yards. and if it’sa running with speed he can escape to the outside on the left and make a big play. but instead CEH danced to a -4 yard run

Overall the oline is not opening lanes for any of the backs. I think Cali nailed it. They never have a chance to get into a flow and too many RPO. Holmes4six! 972
Watch some of these teams run the football. Off tackle runs with a pulling guard etc. simple man on man football. I don’t know WTF it is. I do know CEH is not the answer. I agree and bring up RoJo and pound the rock and keep feeding a guy for at least 15-20 Carry’s. Maybe some of the problem is Reid’s running scheme. BecaUe it’s a after thought it maybe not get the focus that pass plays do. Don’t know but what We see is a offense that is struggling. There needs to be commitment to it on the field and during practice. Both the backs and the line needs to get some rhythm and that means some well structured runs as opposed to this RPO bs. AFCWEST 1,238
ESPN's Adam Teicher believes the Chiefs backfield "is going to be more of a committee thing" going forward. The Chiefs, per Teicher, "still don't seem comfortable using Clyde Edwards-Helaire in most third-down situations," instead using pass-catching specialist Jerick McKinnon, especially in the team's two-minute offense. McKinnon in Week 3 against the Colts ran more routes and equaled CEH with seven rushing attempts. After three games, it's McKinnon who leads the Kansas City backfield with a 28 percent snap share while Edwards-Helaire sits at 27 percent. CEH has skated by with four touchdowns through three weeks -- a pace that won't continue. There won't be much fantasy juice to squeeze out of the KC backfield unless CEH or McKinnon miss time. NBC Sports' Edge's Denny Carter recently recommended McKinnon as a waiver add in 12-team leagues. AFC West Take: No team would give up anything or trade for this guy. Teams brass plays him to try and save face. He is an average at best RB. oldtimer
