Our young DBs are good. They may give up some TDs to very good receivers but they aren't getting toasted, they are contesting. They were in position for some well thrown passes. Watson & Williams are getting better every week, Sneed is one of the best overall DBs in the league and we haven't even seen McDuffie yet. Imagine these guys with a legit pass rush. Thornhill & Reid are not quite at the level I was hoping for but Thornhill is getting more confident after the injury and I think Reid just needs to get a little more comfortable with the scheme. He'll deliver a hit but seems to be missing an assignment from time to time. When Cook gets more time, we'll see more improvement. Future is bright.

Yep.  The two rookies aren't lost as much as just a bit of technique away from better play.  McDuffie, Sneed, Williams, and Watson could be good by the end of the season.  I think they are potentially a huge upgrade over Ward and Fenton, not to mention Hughes and Baker.

100% agree.   If Veach doesn't address pass rush at the deadline it will be our focus this offseason no doubt.  And if he attacks that position like he did OL and the secondary we will be a juggernaut for the next 4-5 years barring injuries.   We will be 4 deep with the worse one probably Joshua Williams who might have the most athletically talented out of the group.  We have 2 above avg safeties in Reid and Cook signed for at least 3 years and we have 4 young and promising lbs.   If that dl can get fixed our D could be nasty.

I remember charvarius wards first game. He had the red hair.  I thought he'd never play another down in the nfl.

well.. 5 -2 at the bye..  ... 1 loss in each quarter. of the season so far.

better record than last year..

Really wish Kelce had about 5 more yards today..

oh what was i gonna say that was relevent to this thread..

We should be pretty much 100% strength at the bye..

also for those of you who like numbers, take a look at teams with week 8 -9 byes..

and superbowl winners.
