AFCWEST 1,238
NFL Network's Tom Pelissero reports the Chiefs are expected to sign Melvin Gordon to their practice squad. It's unlikely Gordon stays on the practice squad for long, but this at least allows him time to familiarize himself with his new team. After getting cut by the Broncos on November 21st, Gordon went unclaimed on waivers but now finds himself playing for his old AFC West rivals. Rookie Isiah Pacheco has rushed 53 times for 258 yards and one touchdown over the last three weeks and should continue to serve as the team's lead back, but Gordon will likely work his way into the team's RB2 role. Gordon has rushed 90 times for 318 yards and two touchdowns this season while also fumbling five times. He'll be hard to trust for fantasy purposes as long as Pacheco remains healthy and efficient with his opportunities.
AFCWEST 1,238
This is a very scary ANDY move. Why does he need 5 guys to chose from or rotate or dream about?
kkuenn 3,597
If we wanted to fumble balls, we would let Sky Moore field punts. sith13, oldtimer and artsy 2
azchief21 5,278
I was happy with Pacheco getting 22 carries. Hope this fumbler doesn't cut into that. Good for depth though.

AFCWEST 1,238
Ron Kopp Jr. @Ron_Kopp It's worth pointing out that Gordon is more likely a direct backup to Jerick McKinnon's 3rd down / pass down role than he is a backup to what Pacheco/RoJo will be doing for this offense Gordon's good in pass pro, and has always been a reliable pass catcher
AFCWEST 1,238
This season, Gordon has 90 rushes for 318 yards (3.5 yards per attempt) and two touchdowns, as well as 25 receptions for 233 yards. The Chiefs still have two games left against the Broncos — in Weeks 14 and 17.
CranjisMcbasketball 780
I hate this move. This guy is the MOST fumble prone back in the nfl. its the last thing we need on the team. even if all of our running backs get injured i would rather run our fullback up the middle 10 times a game. jetlord 10,207
This is a head shaker, but there may be a couple of reasons for signing him. It could mean that CEH is done for the year and the Chiefs want a backup for the three active RBs, especially McKinnon who is the only third down back available and has an injury history. The Chiefs play the Donks twice in the next six weeks and Gordon is an info source. Can't think of many other upsides for hiring Gordon. Holmes4six! 968
My feeling is he won’t see the field. It’s insurance and perhaps some info gathering prior to our two upcoming games against the geldings. If we do have an injury, we got some depth. I would be shocked if Reid would stick butter hands on the field in front of pacheco, Jones and McKinnon.
Calichief 3,016
He has juice. And he can block and catch. But his fumbling out weighs it
Okiechief1 425
KC did put in a claim for eno Benjamin when he got released and that was before CEH got injured. Dont get why but they were looking
sith13 1,746
Unless they are considering cutting Jones I don't see any reason for this move.

AFCWEST 1,238
Maybe KC is taking a look at Gordon & Bryan Edwards for next seasons roster? Why not see if they fit now? CEH will be gone and the receiver room is wide open for next year.
Calichief 3,016
Gordon can still scoot. He definitely brings home run ability to this offense.
