Hurts extended

Philly reportedly extended QB Hurts for another five years for $255 million with $165 guaranteed and a no trade clause.  Mahomes just keep getting cheaper and cheaper relative to the new contracts.  What will Herbert, Burrows, and Lamar demand?

Hopefully 55+ but more likely 52, 53 and 53.5 per.  Take your pick for who signs first.

With Patrick willing to work with Veach and defer, restructure, etc etc, it doesn't bode well for the rest of the league. Let's see how willing to work those other guys are going to be... Patrick is smart AF he knows he'll make his millions in endorsements and post-football. Can you imagine him in the booth as a color guy? That would be awesome.

Meanwhile he wants to retire as the GOAT and if we can win a few more championships short term, he'll have plenty of time to catch TB in rings. He'll surpass TB in raw stats sooner than we think. 5 more rings is the ultimate goal.

Jalen Hurts seems like a great guy and someone you can count on to work hard and improve, but come on, these contracts are getting out of hand....

It's really not all that eccentric. The guaranteed money isn't out of this world, considering how important he is to their franchise. The additional money to me looks like it's there to provide room for reworking of the contract... which is critical if he wants his team to stay competitive.
