Boone 304
5 hours ago, Nadlers Quivering Balls said: Overview Morris is an athletic pass-setter with a strong inside hand but lacks a desired level of core strength to effectively push back against rush bullies. He’s very average at getting to positioning for back-side cut-off blocks in the run game and struggles to stay connected to sustain blocks due to inconsistent hand placement and drive strength in his lower half. His physical profile and experience starting at both tackle spots should give him a leg up in a camp battle for a swing tackle role. Strengths Former five-star prospect with NFL-caliber traits. Pass slides are controlled and gain necessary depth. Lands quick, stiff inside hand for early punch points. Very smooth and athletic redirecting feet to catch inside counters. Works hip to hip on his double teams. Accurate radar finding targets as pull blocker. Decent acceleration fitting his run blocks. Weaknesses Struggles with pad level and angles in making cut-off blocks. Needs to lower his aim and landing zone for hand placement. Gets knocked backward by opponents with firm hands. Headbutts replace knee bend into contact when pulling in space. One-and-done pass punch could use more snatch-and-secure. Rarely keeps back flat and chin tucked through the pass rep. All those weaknesses are coachable technique issues. Should be a good camp battle for RT. At a minimum, we got ourselves a swing tackle. Potentially, we have a new starter in a year or two. Love the pick.

kkuenn 3,598
I hope we take that USC guard in a late round. Give him a year to heal up and learn and then have him ready to take over for whoever when either Thuney or Smith contract comes up.
kkuenn 3,598
I would also look to get that Palmer from Nebraska for another WR. Cant have enough speed and give them time to learn too.

He makes plays down the seam and accelerates well after the catch. He also extends to pluck passes out of the air without breaking stride, and he has the body control to adjust to passes thrown outside his frame. The trade value was basically a wash so to guarantee getting the target? Got no problem with it. The trade was fair. The question was whether the Chiefs needed to move up to get Rice and if so, how far. They must have valued Rice well above the alternatives remaining and had word that another team was about to grab him. The third round trade was amazing in that a competitor made the deal which could help the Chiefs. Small potatoes, but the Chiefs did get the O-lineman they needed whether for competition for Niang, back up, or possible starter.

You always keep adding talent, though, right? Kelce is 33 and they are starting to curb his snaps. Bell is pretty much another lineman. Fortson can’t stay healthy. Will Gray get a second contract? I am fine if they bring in a developmental guy today.
