jetlord 10,207 Posted August 30, 2023 Share Posted August 30, 2023 It's disappointing to lose ISM, but consider that he had been with a couple of other teams without making it and the Chiefs had seven ahead of him. They have others who can play the same role. Watson and Ross are different types, MVS is too expensive to release, Rice and Moore are seen as having potential, Toney (if healthy) could be their top WR, and James is the kick returner plus looked good in preseason. It's a numbers game and the Chiefs could either cut ISM outright or get a minor upgrade in a future draft pick. Not really much choice.
