I honestly think that is what they were trying to do. They featured him every preseason game and he looked bad in every one. Slow and indecisive. He does have value as a pass catcher but we don't use back like that here or at least Mahomes doesn't like checking down to them. Last year to start the year he looked pretty good and started the season well but he hasn't looked good this preseason. Maybe its the play calling.
