No idea how that works... but at face value our draft position should be worth less than Carolina's... even after 2 years.

Well I guess Veach got something instead of nothing for him. Not sure if Carolina has first waiver priority. If so they would have taken him more than likely anyways.

swapping conditional 7th rounders, i believe means that we swap if they have the higher pick in the 7th. Also might be connected to the fact of some thing that he has to be with the team X amount of time whether ps or active.

You know your NFL career is circling the drain when your trade value is a swap of conditional 7th rounders.  Not sure how you could get lower value in a trade.

it's better than getting cut and not picked up by anybody and the Panthers wanted you enough to give up a pick. Pacheo and Purdy have shown 7th picks can mean something

It's not a 7th round pick.  It's swapping 7th round conditional picks. Obviously better than being cut, but that's a pretty low bar.

There is at least an equivalent. See Rashad Fenton to the Falcons. If you get traded for a conditional pick that's unlikely to ever come to fruition, you're basically getting traded for nothing
