kkuenn 3,597
Injury report today. https://www.arrowheadpride.com/2023/9/13/23872609/chiefs-jaguars-injuries-jones-kelce-sneed-limited Each practice day of the season, the Kansas City Chiefs release an official injury report leading up to the next game. This week, the Chiefs will travel to Florida to play the Jacksonville Jaguars on Sunday at Noon Arrowhead Time. Top Stories00:0600:24‘U.S.Openlike:’ Shane Lowry details Ryder Cup scouting trip to Marco Simone Golf Club in Rome Here is the Chiefs’ first official injury report of the week: Chiefs Player Ps Injury Wed Thu Fri Status Clyde Edwards-Helaire RB Illness DNP - - - Travis Kelce TE Knee LP - - - Chris Jones DT NIR (Rest) LP - - - L'Jarius Sneed CB Knee LP - - - Richie James WR Knee FP - - - Kadarius Toney WR Knee FP - - - Tershawn Wharton DT Knee FP - - - Nic Jones CB Hand FP - - - Jaguars Player Ps Injury Wed Thu Fri Status Brandon Scherff OL Ankle DNP - - - Luke Fortner OL Ankle DNP - - - Gregory Junior CB Hamstring DNP - - - Antonio Johnson S Hamstring DNP - - - Tyler Lacy DL Hip LP - - - Some notes The Chiefs’ portion of their official injury report went as anticipated on Wednesday. At his usual press conference, head coach Andy Reid announced that running back Clyde Edwards-Helaire (illness) would not participate. Tight end Travis Kelce (knee) and defensive tackle Chris Jones (rest)were limited. Kelce suffered a bone bruise last week, leading to his absence against the Lions. The “rest” description indicates Jones is simply being ramped up after he missed the entire offseason holding out for a new contract. When it comes to L’Jarius Sneed (knee) — who was also limited — I could see this potentially being the case for the first two days of practice all season. Sneed has dealt with swelling in his knee dating back to last season. Jaguars starting right guard Brandon Scherff (ankle) did not practice after hurting his ankle in the team’s Week 1 game against the Indianapolis Colts. Jaguars head coach Doug Pederson said that he is “day to day.” Starting center Luke Fortner (ankle) also did not practice, but it sounds like there is a better chance he plays against the Chiefs than Scherff. Defensive backs Gregory Junior (hamstring) and Anthony Johnson (hamstring) also missed practice.
dhitter 1,424
According to a report....the Jags are looking at this game as a benchmark game. They got beat by the Chiefs twice last year including the playoffs. This game has been circled for them since the schedule came out. I look for them to try and get their new toy, Calvin Ridley, the ball ...a lot. They'll be motivated for sure.

No doubt.....but there is a difference between an up and coming team who won a division and went to the playoffs (and won a game) last year and say ...the Bears. The Bears can circle us twice for all I care. Boone

jetlord 10,209
Don't expect too much from Jones at this point. Kelce has value as a decoy and maybe a few catches. I think the Chiefs will be pretty cautious with both of them. qnet

Fmbl2187 2,279
Its going to be beautiful here, as we watch the victory from the comfort of the midwest. Our boys will win the day in that hell hole.
Burpo The Mad Clown 5,554
Well, well. My local CBS affiliate will, surprisingly, broadcast the game today. I guess the Cowboys/Saints/Texans aren't playing at noon or will be on other networks. This totally disrupts my planned Sunday schedule. But, it's cool. Thegoatee 1,780
Any if you all laughing at the swamp of Florida not playing a role against KC haven’t spent much time in Florida. It is still heat indexing over 90 and 100 into October and humidity saps your energy. There is a reason Tampa was a tough game in Tampa and why Tampa couldn’t win in Green Bay in winter forever. Heat Index is 97 right now.

moons314 2,463
Our playcalling is always so bad in short yardage. This team makes the easy ones so unnecessarily difficult. Burpo The Mad Clown and Boone
