Fields a punt and then steps in the end zone and kneels and gives up a safety.

Dumb ass.

Carson Steele is making a case to make the final 53!

Maybe you guys knew the rules, but it was confusing to me.  Once the ball landed in the end zone, I thought it went to the 30.  End of story.  Now it was rules that if it bounces back onto the playing field, it's a live ball.  The next specialist will be the kicker that can get the ball to spin back from the end zone.  He'd make a fortune.

Not going to overreact over a preseason game that the Chiefs care very little about other than to get some guys some live reps and see certain players in certain situations.

Agree with the above sentiment.  CEH and Hardman are frustrating to watch.

Whatever net gains Remigio has earned he lost most of it when he couldn't hold onto the ball tonight.  Almost muffed punt and a fumble that for some crazy reason got called back.  Ross making tough catches but for some reason can't ever crack that top 6-7 which is pretty sad consiering Toney, Watson, Moore, and Hardman fill those spots.

Carson Steele making a strong push to make this team.   Prince had a nice catch but just seems like an avg rb.  Sure wish McKinnon wasn't washed up.  Could use a 3rd back with some juice.

LRZ is a practice squad player.  His Pass pro is yikes bad and needs a full year of seasoning to even remotely have a chance to make a future 53.

Secondary didn't have their best night either.

What else did I miss or do you disagree with any of the above opinions?

It's not that the Chiefs lost....it's a dumb preseason game. It's the mental gaffes and mistakes that have to be fixed. Preseason is for evaluating players in game situation. I saw several players who impressed me (Steele and Hicks most notably) and several who looked flat out terrible. I would venture to say some of them won't be around long.

This happens every time. One preseason game loss. Freak outs. It’s preseason. Who cares? Feel good about Steele and Cochrane. The starters will play more next week then not at all on the last preseason game. Good opportunity to see who stays. No injuries is the only thing we need care about.

O:  For me Steele secured roster spot and CEH offered up his for someone to take.  Prince did enough but didn’t blow anyone away. I wanted to see Bailey more. Olayolayay looked like a solid QB to me.

D Hicks killed it. FAU looked pretty average against 3s. Yikes, Remigio made some mistakes but I thought he looked good. The young LBs came to play which is needed. Can’t hate on the CBs since 3, 4 and maybe 5 didn’t play.

ST Pretty sad but may have different coverage guys in the season. Might want to learn the rules, but I didn’t realize what Hardman did was wrong either. I did know it was a live ball Mr. Prince.

Not a bad showing and hope Hollywood gets back soon.

I believe that if the ball lands in the endzone and bounces back into the field of play it is a LIVE ball.

if it stays in the endzone without being touched it comes out to the 20 or 30 yard line.

if a returner downs th3 ball in the ends zone it starts at the 20 or 30.

not sure which is which in regards to the last two.

Chiefs WR Marquise Brown To Miss Time

August 11th, 2024 at 8:41pm CST • By Rory Parks

8:41PM: Schefter provided an update this evening that Brown has arrived back in Kansas City following his release from the Jacksonville-area hospital he spent the night in. Schefter adds that, a day after his diagnosis, Brown’s status for the Chiefs’ regular season opener versus Brown’s former team, the Ravens, is still uncertain at this point.

8:17AM: Chiefs wide receiver Marquise Brown sustained a dislocation of the sternoclavicular (SC) joint in his left shoulder during last night’s preseason opener against the Jaguars, per ESPN’s Adam Teicher. The 27-year-old receiver was hospitalized, because as ESPN injury analyst Stephania Bell writes, SC joint dislocation can be particularly serious due to its potential to impact critical blood vessels. Luckily, Brown was discharged from the hospital this morning and cleared to return to Kansas City, as ESPN’s Adam Schefter reports.

Interesting piece on the first drive. Once Hollywood Brown got hurt, Skyy Moore was the wide receiver to come in and replace him on the first team offense. #Chiefs

That’s interesting. Not sure I’m a fan of that but coaches know better.

The shoulder injury that sent Kansas City wide receiver Marquise Brown to the hospital this weekend will not require surgery, Chiefs coach Andy Reid confirmed Monday.

Brown, 27, was discharged from a Jacksonville-area hospital Sunday morning after dislocating the sternoclavicular joint in his left shoulder in Saturday’s 26-13 preseason loss to the Jaguars.
