oldtimer 8,683
not sure I think he's worth it but until Wiley gets up to speed and really having no idea what Trav has in the tank or how long he'll play I guess it's cheap enough insurance.
Boone 304
I'm shocked, honestly. I expected KC to let Him walk after this season. oldtimer

I'd take a paltry 3.3 million per year in a heartbeat. Even after taxes and agent commissions, I'd still be set.
West 6,713
Good signing....Noah is multi-faceted and knows the playbook inside and out. Wiley needs to earn his stripes Best TE ever needs to stay healthy as he gets older... Boone
Burpo The Mad Clown 5,553
Noah played his butt off last night. He was like a FB as a lead blocker. Watch his block that sprung Worthy for the TD. mex, West and oldtimer 1 1
Holmes4six! 968
This is a great signing. He does the dirty work and last night maybe a sign of things to come for his involvement in the offense. oldtimer

Calichief 3,016
Noah has some seriously great hands. I don’t know I’ve personally seen him drop a pass. West
xen 1,010,217
Veach said they had a plan to feature Gray more this year so this contract makes a lot of sense. All part of the plan to keep Trav healthy and fresh. oldtimer

Hicks had a great pre-season and he wasn't in except for special teams. Playing time for rookies under Reid doesn't tell us much.
Holmes4six! 968
Can’t wait to see Wiley getting involved. I have a feeling that kid is going to be a stud. I’d like to see him in the red zone.

My point is Did KC extend Gray because they dont see enough from Wiley. I dont see a future need for both guys

I dont see a future need for both guys You might see a need for him if Kelce hangs them up after this year. He's only under contract for this year and next. I 100% do not expect he'll be around any longer than that. I doubt Veach panicked after Wiley's rookie-year training camp and threw a contract extension at Gray (who was still under contact for this coming year). xen 1,010,217
KC carries 3 Tight ends every year so why don't we have a need for both of them? Lamardirts

Not unhappy he was signed. Im simply surprised KC extended him. Every dollar counts toward cap issues going forward. Ofcourse I hope Wiley and Gray do well. Kelce could very well retire after this season. He has a lot going on.with lots of opportunity. oldtimer

Keep continuity across the board is important. Not every signing is a blue chip player. Agree we keep 3 every year and its smart having at least one young player under contract for the foreseeable future. There is a decent chance if we three-peat Travis might hang it up.
