i think he should spend some time thinking about his future, Quality of Life and his family. For his sake i hope his support strongly suggests he call it a career.

The Hit was not that bad but it is his third or fourth in two years and it won't get better moving forward.

Some doc on talk TV this morning said a problem with Tua is that his neck just isn't strong enough to keep his head stable when he's hit.  That, plus the fact that repeated concussions tend to become more severe, is a reason for hi to consider hanging it up.  Must be hard to do when making the big bucks and coming off a playoff season, but it would be better than becoming a vegetable.

How much money is Tua Tagovailoa guaranteed if he retires medically?

Per Spotrac on X (formerly Twitter), if Tagovailoa is forced to retire medically — from the impact of the concussions sustained in his career — he has the right to receive the remaining $124 million on his contract. Tagovailoa has already received $43 million of the $167 million guaranteed.

However, if Tagovailoa is medically cleared to return and opts to retire, Spotrac says the remaining $124 million on his contract is not guaranteed to him. If this is what happens, both the Dolphins and Tagovailoa can come to a settlement agreement on the remaining money on his contract.

The Dolphins said Tuesday Tagovailoa is being placed on injured reserve, meaning he will miss Miami's next four games before he is eligible to return.

With the Dolphins having a bye in week six next month, it means the earliest Tagovailoa can return to play will come on October 27, when Miami faces the Arizona Cardinals.
