Chiefs RB Isiah Pacheco (ankle) was seen leaving the stadium on crutches and wearing a walking boot.
ESPN’s Jeff Darlington reported Pacheco was set to undergo testing and X-ray imaging, though the test’s scheduled date and time and/or results have yet to be revealed. The injury occurred when Pacheco’s right foot was trapped underneath him as he was tackled from behind via a hit to the back of his knees. We will monitor the situation closely for updates. The 2-0 Chiefs face the Falcons in Week 3, where preseason sensation RB/FB Carson Steele could handle a sizable workload.

NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport reports Chiefs RB Isiah Pacheco fractured his fibula in Week 2.
Pacheco was bent back awkwardly in the fourth quarter and left the stadium in a walking boot. Rapoport said KC’s lead back is set to miss “real time,” which could mean weeks or months, depending on the severity of the injury. Carson Steele had seven rushes on Sunday, some of which came after Pacheco exited the game. He would likely be the Chiefs’ early down back while Samaje Perine takes on the pass catching duties until Pacheco is back in action. Clyde Edwards-Helaire remains unavailable while he deals with a mental health situation.

How long does it take to walk after a tibia fracture?

If the fractured bones shifted after the break and surgery was required to put the bones together with pins and plates, then it can take up to 6 months to walk normal and 12 months to return to playing sports.

A full return to sport may take up to 12 months. As always, the speed and effectiveness of your recovery depends on the partnership of therapist and patient.

My Bad its a fibula. Sorry.

The time it takes to recover from a broken fibula depends on the type of fracture, the severity of the injury, and other factors:
  • Minor fractures: Can heal in about six weeks
  • Most cases: Can take at least twice that amount of time, or longer
  • Surgery: Can take 3 to 6 months

It may depend on the severity of the injury which has yet to be determined from my understanding.   If they can get him back in 4 to 5 weeks they may just roll with perine Steele and possibly ps guy for that time.  If it’s worse and it’s months before he comes back then they probably would go after FA.

I do agree that Kareem would probably be the best choice but I wonder if that move would have to be cleared from Clark himself before it could happen.
