eraser 722
I'm all for paying those who produce. Allen Bailey and Dontari Poe are the heart of that 3-4 defense. It all begins up front. They play well, don't get tired, and give it on every play.

eraser 722
The man from Sapelo island decided to sign now rather than take a chance, and I think he is a very wise man. There aren't many who leave the NFL on their own terms. I hope he has a long career, but the odds are against every NFL player. From hitching rides on a ferry to the mainland in order to attend school to where he is now, Allen Bailey has come a long way. There must be something in the home cooking that makes them grow up so big, and strong. There must be something in that home life that made him be the man his appears to be today. Allen Bailey lost his father last year, and the Chiefs let him grieve for many weeks. They left him alone to take it all in. Not many have that close of a family. Not many coaches are as thoughtful and insightful as Andy Reid. The Chiefs did the right thing. Bailey needed the time to go home and be with his family. I am glad we will see the man from Sapelo island for a little while longer. He has been one of my favorites on the team for many reasons.
