Mugsy 225 Posted August 20, 2014 Share Posted August 20, 2014 NFL expands practice squads The NFL and NFL Players Association have agreed to expand NFL practice squads from eight to 10 players for the 2014 and 2015 seasons. Most rookies, first- and second-year players eligible for practice squads must first clear waivers before placed on the squads. Teams can establish their squads on Aug. 31, the day after NFL teams must reduce their active rosters to 53 players. Any player on a practice squad can be claimed for another team’s 53-man roster at any time.
