The 2015 NFL season is officially drawing near for the Chiefs, as the team announced its training camp schedule on Thursday.

The Chiefs will kick off training camp July 28, when rookies and quarterbacks are scheduled to report at Missouri Western State University in St. Joseph. The team will hold three closed practices July 29-31 before veterans are scheduled to report.

The first practice open to the public is schedule for 3:30 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 1. That is the first of 14 scheduled training camp practices open to the public, with the last on Wednesday, Aug 19.

Groups of players will sign autographs following each practice session and team autograph sessions will be held at select practices. Twelve of the 14 open practices will be free of charge, though Missouri Western will charge a $5 parking fee per vehicle, per day.

The Chiefs’ annual “American Family” Fun Day will be held on Saturday, Aug. 8. There will be a $5 admission fee, and the entire team will sign autographs afterward. The Aug. 1 practice will also have a $5 admission fee.

Practices that are moved indoors because of inclement weather will be closed to the public.

Practices held July 29-31 will be closed to the public.
