Chiefsfan1963 1,101
I've been saying that forever. Make an ala cart plan. I would gladly pay more for channels I want to see versus being forced to take 10 shopping channels or 15 Spanish channels or even 1 MSNBC. kcchief4lif 910
$21.5M in 2015, $43m by March 2016. $52.5M total by March 2017. $32.5M full guar. $52.5m So the next 3 years we should be getting record breaking years. The price for espn channels alone will be outrageous. ESPN is about 6 bucks a month, but only because it's subsidized by every old biddy who doesn't watch espn or nfln, etc... If only people who watched it paid for espn they'd have to charge 100 bucks a month to make the payments to all the sports leagues they have rights to. Ticket prices would go way up to compensate for money leagues are no longer getting from television. All in all it would be worse. And all because grandma no longer subsidizes sports. Remember there are a lot more people that don't watch sports than those that do.
xen 1,010,220
Btw all that said breaking up the directv monopoly on sunday ticket would be awesome for fans. Doesn't rely on bundling and that can only help prices.
