dhitter 1,424 Posted July 30, 2015 Share Posted July 30, 2015 I find it interesting that Adrian Peterson makes statements like "I'm going to have the biggest season of my career" and "I'm going to break 2,500 yards this year" and all the talking heads are falling all over themselves to make sure they get a good sound bite. Yet no one questions the fact Peterson turned 30 back in March. Wasn't 30 the magic number in which you expected running backs to start sliding into old age? I've even seen some talking heads suggest that Jamaal Charles, who is almost 2 full years younger than Peterson, might be on the downside of his career age wise because he's "pushing 30". What? Never let it be said that the media doesn't have their darlings and their villains....and they will bend over backwards to create stories to keep them in said standing.
