A team can score the most points in history for a season and get a first seed in the playoffs and the zero wide receiver touchdown would still be an issue. So points don't matter. I am semi-serious because we were like 5th to 9th in points scored in 2013 and the only star offensively I saw out there was being low in pass yards. We were high in time of possession (sign of efficiency and running) and third down conversions were high in the "absent" offense of our 9-0 team.

Yeah.  That time of possession is the main reason our defense ranked so high, even without DJ and DeVito.  The announcers and fans love that long ball, but the possession game is the best defense there is.

Nice point Bil.  Control the ball and play solid D.  Shoot outs with Denver, Green Bay, etc. are not our strength.  Plus we spent most of our money on defense.  No surprise if we are not a top 5 offense.

Agree. Being top 5 in any stat is only important in fantasy football. Winning is the only thing that matters.
