kcchief4lif 910
The Kansas City Chiefs have a fresh depth chart out but it looks a lot like the old one. There are no notable changes to the depth chart outside of removing those 11 players that were released by the team on Sunday. The Chiefs will continue to make their cuts down before Tuesday when they need to be down to 75 players. After that, the Chiefs will trim their roster down to 53 players by Saturday and then create a 10-man practice squad on Sunday. The Chiefs roster is competitive at quite a few positions. They're going to end up cutting a couple of good players when they have to get down to 53 players. It's usually been the other way around where the Chiefs are signing other teams good players, such as that roster cut weekend in 2013 when the Chiefs claimed seven players from other teams. So this is the most recent depth chart. The players crossed are those who were cut on Sunday. jetlord 10,209
Maclin as a punt returner? I don't think so no matter what the list says right now..
DieHard 2,061
I guess Tuuau was not the next Brian Waters. I like that they tried him on O though. Who knew Waters would be such a stud on O?

dhitter 1,424
* I think the Chiefs might keep 7 receivers...only 6 if they cut Avant but I think they keep him. * The DB situation is interesting. I think Cooper gets axed finally as does Commings. * So far Ramik Wilson looks like a better fit than Mauga although Mauga did improve as the year went on last year. * I can see Peters, Conley, Morse, O'Shaughnessy and R Wilson all getting significant playing time this year. * Is there any reason to keep Tyler Bray around at this point? DieHard 2,061
I think Avant is not on the chopping block. He will be a big part of the offense as a 3rd or 4th WR IMO. He is the best on the team at finding holes in a zone. Slow, but very smart player.
jetlord 10,209
Does anyone know what's wrong with Avant? He's listed on the injury report with a bad hip but I've missed any news about details.

gochiefsgo 380
Avant will stay because he's the best blocking WR on the team and probably the second best possession WR on the squad as well. I'm all for the youth movement thing but the Chiefs need a guy like this on this years team.
eraser 722
T Paylor thinks the Chiefs will keep 7 receivers. I am not so sure.

KCSLC2008 606
* Is there any reason to keep Tyler Bray around at this point? No, as far as Bray goes, but if he's still injured, what are the rules on putting him on some injured list? I mean, next year, when Daniel likely goes elsewhere, a Smith/Murray/Bray and possible rookie lower round QB selected would be good rotation. Then, Bray would have to beat out the rookie. For that, getting and staying healthy would be key. No playing basketball or sky diving, unless team sponsored or normal. And no throwing bottles at cars. eraser 722
Sending Bray to PUP list for the season does not cost that much. The Chiefs made the case that he is still recovering. If they would have trotted him out to play games in preseason, they may have had more trouble defending that designation. Will March be placed on the IR, cut or does he make the 53? Do the Chiefs keep 6 or 7 receivers? How many NTs make the team? What happens when Poe returns? Do we trade a player for a future pick, or do we just release one. What of Demeatrius Harris? Will he play Thursday? Will the Chiefs carry 3 or 4 Tight Ends?
