Recommended Posts

Assuming no post game undetected edits by anyone, here's Week 1:

Okiechief -15-1

Bad week for predictions...

KCSLC2008: 7-9 (Awful, as all of my Clear Favorites and Does Anyone Really Care lost)

So what you're saying is: I tied for first? I'll take it

I wish you had guessed the first week. If you guess the rest of the 15 weeks of the season, I think we can go by percentage. But if you just predict this and everyone else goes 60% or worse, you can't win. Otherwise, OkieChief would have retired Week 1 with a 15-1 record. (I'm assuming he didn't edit it before I could see it and I wouldn't accuse him of that... yet... just kidding.)

BTW, I'm not rescoring, as anyone can edit later.

I'm going against many of my preferred results. I think the Vikings will let us down, Oakland isn't good but will beat the Browns, Steelers will barely beat a well-coached motivated Rams team, and we don't want the Bills to win, as New England is a lock for the division, meaning the Bills are a threat for our WC spot. Then, I'm thinking the Ravens, Colts, Texans (yes, the Texans), Seattle, Giants (Washington got their win last week), and the Eagles will avoid 0-3 out of desperation. I know not all will win, but individually, I had to take them. We'd like the Jets to lose, as they are playing an NFC team.

I am running a little bit late, so for now, predict who will win tonight: Baltimore Ravens or Pittsburgh Steelers.

If someone wants to be helpful, they can do what I usually do and put all the games out there. Otherwise, just predict tonights' game.

I'll go with Ravens, though I'm not sure I want them to win and I'm not confident that they will. It really screws the wildcard thing up because then the Ravens will also win when they play at home. We need the Steelers to win this game and then lose the next three or so without Big Ben.

I'm going to look at the positive of the result. We would also want whoever the winning team record wise to lose the game and just hope that the same happens when they meet again, regardless of where it's played. It would've been nice to put the ravens and the bigger hole however, then the Steelers would be stronger in the wildcard race ( assuming Cincinnati wins the division). 2–2 and 1–3 is better then 3–1 and 0-4.

We need to beat the Steelers with or without Big Ben at home. I think the Ravens will beat us, but I'm glad we actually get to play the game as opposed to just going on what we think. Or should I want to just go on what we think and then I'll think we will beat them?

The hardest game to pick is the KC/Bungals game. Damnit, you just don't know which Chiefs team will show up!

That and the Cowboys/Saints game. Saints are at home and Romo is out and Brees is back... but the Saints aren't a good team and Dallas has a good oline and receivers, though Dez is out. Jets and Dolphins is tricky, too, as the Jets are the Jets, but better, but Miami is at home and streaky. If Luck is out against the Jaguars, I still see a Colts win, but they have lost and barely won with Luck against not great teams.
