DefensiveMan 758
The only thing that concerns me is the 2 , 3rd and 1's. One sweep to Charles that didn't pan out then the PA throw to Sherman. Guess Reid doesn't trust his interior line yet. I thought Stephenson and Grubbs did a tremendous job on the left side. Chiefsfan1963 1,101
the Chiefs are going to have to play better than that to beat the Donks...Here's rootn for the Ravens.. nmchiefsfan 63
They took their foot off the gas half way through the second quarter with the exception of a couple practice shots down field. Sitting on a lead will bite them against better teams.

KCSLC2008 606
I think this is the first time the Chiefs have beaten the Texans in the regular season. We beat them in 2013, I think. It was the year where everyone was talking about back up quarterbacks. They had a couple of them.
qnet 1,150
Nice win by chiefs. I won't be able to watch it until later. I know they kept it close at the end but, maybe the Texans are not that bad of a team, only time will tell, and they have pride also.
Chiefsfan1963 1,101
How many times have you all seen a backup come in around the 4th quarter and be fairly successful? Teams don't game plan for the backup QB.

KCSLC2008 606
That's the NFL. They have nothing to lose. It always happens. Happened for Kaepernick. He might turn out fine, but his best days were under that context. Playing with house money (INTs and you stay the same, TDs you get promoted). No film on a new concept (read-option). Kept it going for awhile due to good coaching and great defense.
Calichief 3,016
After getting a big lead, Andy may have let thoughts of Thursday night creep in? Rest and conservativeness..
eraser 722
I think the Chiefs decided to play conservative in the second half. They weren't nearly as efficient, but they won. There were a few injuries, but nothing that would keep a player from contributing Thursday. Stephenson had a dislocated finger. Kelce had an injury to his abdomen, and was playing with an ankle injury. Peters got dinged, and so did Maclin, but both seemed fine by the end of the game. The Chiefs appear to be in fairly good condition going into the home game Thursday against Denver.
KCSLC2008 606
Obviously, I know that play calling and game plan by Reid contributed to cause this, but one of my Niner friends told me that it's nice to see that Smith is "finally" making his offensive line better. He was talking about having five new linemen. http://www.nfl.com/news/story/0ap3000000529250/article/alex-smiths-quick-work-of-texans-propels-chiefs
liquidfriend 1,151
Smith does deserve a lot of credit this week for that. He definitely had a tendency to hang on for too long, but did well getting the ball out quickly yesterday.
