I can't view the article without paying a registration fee to the Star and can't locate the information elsewhere. I new they wouldn't be able to top Arrowhead, but it sounds like they weren't even close.

Chiefsfan1963 1,101
Another thing going for us is the rest of league is mediocre. As of tonight, prior to MNF, only 3 AFC Teams are 2-0 and the Chiefs are 1-1. Could be worse, could be 0-2 with 6 or so at 2-0. Hey gotta be positive. We beat the NFC all the time. we beat gb a lot too. I'll go with Vegas gamblers numbers. We went against two much better defenses. We'll win this week. SEMO 6,811
I still think this is a playoff team, possibly a division winner. Reid's stubbornness is all that will get in the way. The oline will improve and so will the turnovers. 5 in one game is pretty rare.
Chiefsfan1963 1,101
5 in one game is pretty rare. Look at Indy who many had picked to go to the SB and Luck who many had picked as the next great QB. If he and they can struggle at home then why is it a shocker for many in here to believe the Chiefs would lose to Denver?

eraser 722
The reason the Chiefs did not win against the Broncos was five turnovers, and some really bad play calling from the coaches. Flemming had a ball thrown directly to him, and he dropped it. That could have been a seven point difference. JC usually covers the ball well. There are times in his career where he failed to wrap up. It usually comes in spurts. It was the wrong time for him to play loose with the ball. The receivers did not do much to dispel the rumor that they do not exist. Yes, Charles fumbled, and lost the ball on two occasions (one when the team was close to scoring, and the other that turned into a Denver game winning touchdown). Yes, the secondary (namely Flemming) got burnt like toast on a campfire. Yes, the playcalling was sub par. The biggest difference between Denver and Kansas City is not talent. It is that Denver has been there, and KC has not. There is always something holding the Chiefs back from breaking through. It has to do with developing a winning attitude. It is easy to lose a winning persona, but it is next to impossible to get one back. KC hasn't had this since 1968. It just takes one year to turn it all around. Look at New England. They used to be a laughing stock. Once, they started winning, they developed a habit of it, They win games when they aren't playing their best. They have a culture of winning, and it can happen in KC.
