I was paying too much attention to the offensive line to notice where Wilson was lining up, but I have a feeling that after two weeks of him disappearing into solid secondaries as elite pass rushes were getting to Smith, Wilson wasn't doing what he needed to do to warrant targeting. This is not a surprise to me. Chiefs fans got excited because Wilson was better than Donnie Avery. Wonderful physical measurables are pretty much worthless in a complex timing offense in which you don't know how to be in the right place at the right time. With Conley missing most of the off-season, I have no confidence that he will make a significant impact this year. I have high hopes that he could get the offense in 2016.
