wilkie 1,518
That flat opening in the first quarter last week really bothered me. With everything on the line, and knowing the importance of a good start, the Chiefs went out and laid an egg. We cannot continue to do that. Oakland has two receivers in Cooper and Crabtree and a QB in Carr who will torch us if we are flat. Wish we had Morse in the game.

Won the game under much duress is the story..

FANATIC 852
Start didnt matter last week but that has no bearing on its importance this week Im simply saying the start is not critical. Ive seen teams start out in front and lose. Chiefs vs Denver game 1. FINISH is the KEY.
jetlord 10,209
Of course, finish is the key. But if the Chiefs get down two scores in the first quarter on the road, there may not be a finish.

KCSLC2008 606
Rained yesterday. It's so leaky there that they had to put cups to catch the water. http://kansascity.suntimes.com/kansas-city-chiefs/7/112/472682/the-raiders-stadium-leaks-so-bad-they-have-cups-taped-to-the-ceiling
liquidfriend 1,151
Feeling iffy about this one. Missing a lot of key starters and Oakland always plays us hard.

If we lose due to injuries but we play hard, I will still be mad, but will take that into account. If we come out flat due to effort or complacency or taking them for granted, I'd be even more mad than we were during the five-game losing streak. Have to understand their opportunity here. jetlord 10,209
This was one the Chiefs could have lost and they shot themselves in the foot often enough. Fortunately, the Raiders imploded and gave the game away. Like the Packers on Thursday, better teams just seem to find a way to overcome mistakes.
