For Peters, it was also a special day as he returned to his hometown of Oakland and helped his Chiefs beat his childhood team the Oakland Raiders. Peters was so, so jacked up for this game which was obvious from the TV screen. It was a really big day for him. I say it was also a good day for Peters because the Chiefs won and he had a key part in that victory but it was also an up and down day. Peters, who has been targeted more than any cornerback in the NFL, allowed nine receptions on 14 targets for 92 yards, according to Pro Football Focus. He also had a personal foul penalty after getting in the face of Michael Crabtree after a questionable no-call on the Raiders pick play. That was the bad. The good is that Peters came up with one of the biggest plays of the day when he picked off Derek Carr AND returned it nearly 60 yards to set the Chiefs up for a touchdown. That touchdown gave the Chiefs the lead, which they held onto for the win. Peters is tested so often because he's a rookie and because he's so aggressive at the line of scrimmage. He has given up the second most number of touchdowns in the league (seven) but also has the most interceptions (five) among cornerbacks. In other words, Peters has been thrown into the fire.
