Did anyone see the interception play so as to explain how much of the pick was on Smith, and how much was on Maclin?

It was a good defensive effort. Maclin was boxed out of inside position. Smith made that throw believing Maclin would win that battle.

That was far more informative than "Noodle". The ball was underthrown for the distance Maclin should have gotten, but there was a lot that went wrong with that play all-around, including the excessive contact (holding) from Verrett.

Albert Wilson and Alex Smith dialed up the perfect play, and executed it flawlessly. San Diego was blitzing from the outside. Almost got there, but Wilson came open, and burned San Diego for a score. Wilson's power through the arm tackle is testament to his lower body strength.
