Either coach Reid or Jamaal Charles came up with Tigit, which stands for tall midget. West has a muscular chest, a long torso, and short legs. Usually guys like that are quick and powerful. They aren't usually explosive jumpers, and normally are not speedy.

The ACU coaches may have given West a couple inches on his 10'10" broad jump, but he had outstanding explosion. His 41 inch vertical was impressive. The 4.27 40 was barely wind aided.

West has tremendous balance, and runs with his pad level low. He can quickly change directions, and is powerfully built.
