KCSLC2008 606
The Schedule is being announced tomorrow, so I'm posting my preferred schedule, which will be way off. It was harder to decide this year. Week One: New York Jets at Home - Respectable opponent where we could use the off-season to prep, but should win. Need to have a good start, but don't want to waste prep time on a gimmie (though we showed last year we could lose to anyone and beat most anybody, mostly). Week Two: Houston Texans on the Road: Get them before their QB gets a full grasp of the offense. Wouldn't mind starting the season against them because they are respectable but beatable. Week Three: Broncos at Home: The Stadium is free that night. Week Four: Steelers on the Road: If the Steelers couldn't prepare for us in the offseason, I would choose them as a road opener, but since I don't want them as pumped, delaying it until now. Week Five: Tennessee Titans at Home: Possible recovery game after a Steelers loss. Can't take anyone lightly, but I have to choose. Week Six: Atlanta Falcons on the Road: Week Seven: Carolina Panthers on the Road. Week Eight: Oakland Raiders at Home. Bye Week Week Nine: Broncos on the Road. Week Ten: San Diego on the Road. Week Eleven: New Orleans Saints at Home. Week Twelve: Jacksonville Jaguars at Home Week Thirteen: San Diego on the Road Week Fourteen: Oakland Raiders at Home. Week Fifteen: Indianapolis Colts: Week Sixteen: San Diego at Home
KCSLC2008 606
I would normally put Denver first, but they get it at home first on Thursday and the Royals have the lot on Week 2.

In the history of the AFC West: KC @ Den 5 times KC @ Oak/LA 1 time KC @ SD 3 times KC @ Sea 1 time Oak/LA @ KC 4 times SD @ KC 4 times Sea @ KC 1 time Den @ KC 0 times For some reason the NFL never schedules Denver at KC on opening day.
