After KeiVarae Russell cut, Chiefs bring back Dezman Moses

Recommended Posts

Moving and a shaking...

The Kansas City Chiefs wild morning is starting to come into focus. The Chiefs have confirmed they have cut third round pick CB KeiVarae Russell and they announced they have re-signed LB Dezman Moses.

So that’s that? Not hardly. There should be an explanation on why Russell was cut. He was a third round pick. It’s not some late round guy. Third round picks are high picks. This is unusual.

Moses, meanwhile, was cut the day before last week’s game. I figured he had a shot at coming back. The Chiefs need the pass rush options anyway.

Russell being cut is startling because he was a 3rd round pick, and highly touted, but goes to show the Chiefs are not settling. They are using every approach to win now. Moses was cut, but never attracted interest from another club. Why? The Chiefs seem to be able to work from a 60 man roaster with guys who move to and from being cut or onto their PS.

This is indeed mysterious, but KC has created an atmosphere where players want to be here rather than go elsewhere.
