DJ worked extremely hard to turn things around, and came | | <---- that close to being an official bust.

I don't think Ford works as hard as he should and Tamba has called him out for not working hard enough.  He's wasting his ability.

"There you go, again" as Reagan would have said.  And you are absolutely right.  That is the problem.  He does not work obsessively, which is something that 1st round picks should do until they justify their contract.  I'm not saying that Ford cannot become a good player who is worth keeping.  He just will not become a GREAT player without working his butt off, and I think that a first round pick should be awarded to a player who wants to be GREAT.

Hali needs to hang em up regardless of thr outcome. He's done physically to the point where he forgot football fundamentals.

I totally agree. Hali is playing off of name only. He gets attention because of his resume...but the level to which he actually affects the game is minimal.

They're waiting for Houston to get back and are trying hard to make sure Hali doesn't hurt himself. Once Houston gets back, I expect Hali and Houston to be the starters, epecially in the playoffs.

Ford, Hali and Houston will be the rotation. Ford will be subbed in and out until Houston gets his conditioning back, and in that time I believe we'll be seeing a lot of Hali and Houston to make a run..

And Hali isn't done. He's still making plays, plays that don't always show up on the stat sheets. A key attribute of him is having a high motor, so you people are crazy

Hali needs glasses so he can see the line of scrimmage.  It's an aging thing.

I think it is a bigger effect than that.  He is a huge leader on the sidelines and in his teaching and mentoring.  That counts for a lot.

By the way, do sports medicine specialists take Medicare?

Hali, still contributes. He's still a huge presence in the locker. It's more than just stats people. He's still solid against the run and brings a nice pash rush inside of Ford when Sutton lines them up together. A couple of offside penalties isn't gonna make me back-stab a future Chief Hall of Famer.
