Eric Berry is the soul, Hali is the heart, Houston is the fire, Peters is the swag, DJ is the leader, Poe is the key. This defense can and will win us the superbowl. eraser 722 Posted December 5, 2016 Share Posted December 5, 2016 Before his cancer, Berry was having a disappointing season. He seemed less engaged. Perhaps, it was the disease that slowed him down. Berry showed greatness in his infirmity. When he returned, he eventually became better than he was before the cancer. Berry hoped for a contract extension. The two sides were too far apart. He is playing on a one year contract that doesn't afford him the security of a multiyear deal. I expect the Chiefs will ultimately sign a richer contract with Berry than they would have last year.
