xen 1,010,220
It takes more than a Hall of Fame QB to maintain a top team for so many years. Look at Indy in Mannings last year there. You mean when manning was hurt and they fell apart. They made the playoffs with manning aND the next year without Manning but essentially the same roster had the worst record in the league. Thanks for making my point.
xen 1,010,220
A Hall of Fame QB certainly helps the formula, but it's more than just that. Bill Belichick is secretly a robot, which is why others can't match his ability to excel as Head Coach and GM. Obviously it's more than just that. However any mediocre coach and GM can go a long way with a great qb. Not saying Belichick is mediocre, just that some of the NE love is overblown. Brady covers up a lot of deficiencies. liquidfriend 1,151
It's mutual. Without Belichick, Brady possibly doesn't get drafted at all and would be selling insurance. They both help cover up each others deficiencies. No way is Brady an absolute perfectionist under a different coach.

Brady masks nearly everything but bellicheck earned those first couple of SB with a great defense.
