Semo Mock V.3

Since there was a lot of balking about Njoku, here is another one.  Although, I still believe Dorsey would pause if Njoku was sitting there at 27.

The Smith restructure. To get that much cap, are talking an extension and another big contract? I am not sure they are sold on that. Wouldn't they want to suffer through this year and next year have no dead money to change starters? Or do you think they are still all in on Smith?

I don't think they are all in on Smith, but I don't think a SB would be an "ehh, thanks for your help but we've moved on" either. So make or break was this year (2-16-17 season) and next year, but this year would have lead to a real extension now. Since we didn't win it all, the extension would be a cap saving extension with them being "in" enough to give him this year as a shot to guarantee 2019. If they weren't "in," no extension at all and cut next year.

Having said that, they might not extend at all and still be "in" on Smith to some degree, maybe even enough to not cut him next year, but play is important. In this team game, he's going to have to get some "I" stats to go with team wins. Efficiency in YPA, red zone, third down type of I stats, not total yards, etc.
