Mahomes has potential, but he's not close to being an NFL pocket passer yet. Smith is the best option this year and I dread the day the Chiefs lose and the impatient fans start a QB controversy. I think the kid is a nice mix of swagger and talent. He thinks he can win with every throw but doesn't come off as too cocky. You cannot teach that kind of confidence. Will Reid and Smith have to reign him in and show him some things. Of course. Gruden said Mahomes had "special talent". It just needs to be harnessed the right way.
