I think Bray being #2 is just a matter of "you have to earn it" message to Mahomes. I fully expect Mahomes in the #2 spot when the season starts. That's unusual for a #3 so might indicate that Bray is only the token #2. We'll know a lot more when we see how the pre-season playing time is divided. He is also struggling with the plays and having to reshuttle. Also not unusual. I still think he lands at #2. They have reported they Bray has the nicest deep ball of the 3, but he has been struggling with accuracy just like Mahomes. Smith has turned in (according to the pod casts) his best camp as a Chief. Because Smith and Bray aren't that quarterback, their deficiencies will be exaggerated, and their upside downplayed. Just a friendly reminder. They must think he's got a real shot at being the number 2 QB since they resigned him and let Foles go. Let the competition begin. Either way the Chiefs win whoever emerges.
